Research your topic insect to determine how many stages are in its life cycle. Many insects, such as butterflies or beetles, undergo four stages during their life cycle. Some insects have fewer stages in their life cycle.
Add your title information to the top of the poster, being sure to identify which insect the poster is about.
Make a small mark on your poster to determine where the first stage of the cycle will go. Generally the beginning stage, the egg stage, goes at the top position.
Arrange the stages in a circle, clockwise in chronological order. Try to space them evenly around the circle.
Draw each stage directly on the poster or attach a drawing of each stage in its proper place.
Add a title and description for each stage with the picture that represents it.
Draw a line with an arrow from each stage to the next stage. For instance, you would draw a line with an arrow pointing from the egg stage to the larva stage. Complete the cycle by drawing an arrow coming from the last stage and pointing to the egg stage.
Add any additional information or details about the insect that are needed for your specific project.
