How to Input a Square Root on Wolfram Alpha

Wolfram Alpha is a freely available online tool that offers access to a computational engine. It allows you to do many mathematical calculations, create graphs and access scientific and mathematical information from the World Wide Web. A square root is a mathematical function that is the inverse of the square function. When you square a number you multiply it by itself; for example 4 squared is 16 because 4*4 = 16. The square root of 16 is 4.
