What happens if you get into any of your first three secondary school choices?

If you get into any of your first three secondary school choices, you've been offered a place at a school you applied to. You will then need to accept that offer. The specifics depend on your location and the application system used, but generally:

* You'll receive notification: You'll be contacted (usually by letter, email, or online portal) informing you of the offer and giving instructions on how to accept it.

* You must accept or decline: You have a deadline to accept the offer. If you don't accept within the deadline, the offer may be withdrawn and the place offered to someone else.

* If you get offers from multiple schools: If you're offered a place at more than one of your top three choices, you'll need to choose which offer to accept and decline the others.

Essentially, getting into one of your top three means you've succeeded in the application process for at least one school you wanted to attend. However, the process is not complete until you formally accept the offer.
