What are the five main course subjects in school?

There's no universally agreed-upon "five main" subjects across all school systems. The core subjects vary by country, state/province, and even individual school. However, a common grouping found in many places includes some combination of:

* Mathematics: Focusing on numbers, operations, and problem-solving.

* Science: Exploring the natural world through biology, chemistry, and physics.

* Language Arts/English: Developing reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.

* Social Studies/History: Examining the past, present, and potential future of societies and cultures.

* A Foreign Language: Learning to communicate in a language other than the native tongue.

Often, a fifth subject might be substituted depending on the educational philosophy, for example, the arts (music, visual arts, drama) or technology.
