How many GCSES do you need for acting?

There's no set number of GCSEs required for acting. Entry requirements for drama schools and acting courses vary widely. While some may prefer applicants to have a certain number of GCSEs (perhaps 5 or more), it's the *grades* in relevant subjects (like English and Drama) and a strong portfolio/audition that are far more important than the sheer number of GCSEs held. Many successful actors didn't even go to drama school.
