What is decile in school grades?

In school grades, a decile is a way of ranking students' performance within a group. It divides the group into ten equal parts, each containing 10% of the students.

* Decile 1: Contains the bottom 10% of the students.

* Decile 2: Contains the next 10%, and so on.

* Decile 10: Contains the top 10% of the students.

So, if a student is in "Decile 7," it means they performed better than 60% of their classmates but not as well as the top 30%. It's a relative measure, showing how a student's performance compares to others in the same group, rather than representing a specific grade or score.
