How do you get a girlfriend in middle school when your ugly?

Middle school is a time of a lot of change and self-discovery. It's really common to feel self-conscious about your appearance, but remember that "ugly" is entirely subjective. What one person finds attractive, another might not. Focusing on your looks to attract someone can be limiting.

Instead of focusing on getting a girlfriend, think about building your confidence and developing positive relationships. Here are some things that are much more attractive than looks:

* Be kind and respectful: Treat everyone with kindness and respect, regardless of whether you're interested in them romantically. This includes teachers, classmates, and even people you don't know well. Kindness goes a long way.

* Develop your interests: Pursue hobbies and activities that you enjoy. This helps you build confidence and meet people who share your interests. Having passions makes you more interesting to others.

* Be yourself: Don't try to be someone you're not to impress others. Authenticity is attractive. People appreciate genuine individuals.

* Be confident: Easier said than done, but working on your self-esteem will make a big difference. Focus on your strengths and accomplishments, both big and small.

* Make friends: Focus on building friendships. Romantic relationships often develop from strong friendships. Get to know people, listen to them, and be a good friend.

* Don't focus solely on romantic relationships: Middle school is a time for learning and growing, and your focus should be on those things, too. Romantic relationships aren't the only important thing in life.

Remember, everyone is different and what one person finds attractive varies greatly. Focusing on being a good person and developing your personality is much more likely to lead to positive relationships than focusing on your looks. If you're struggling with feelings of insecurity, talking to a trusted adult like a parent, teacher, or counselor can be really helpful.
