Students generally have the right to use the restroom at school, but schools can place reasonable restrictions on when and how often students can do so. These restrictions must not be discriminatory or so excessive as to deny students access to basic needs. For example, a school can't deny a student restroom access for extended periods of time or refuse access based on their race or gender.
