Mean of a set numbers?

The mean of a set of numbers is the sum of all the numbers in the set divided by the number of numbers in the set.

For example, if the set of numbers is {1, 2, 3, 4, 5}, the mean is (1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5) / 5 = 3.

The mean can also be referred to as the average.
