Can Down syndrome people give birth?

People with Down syndrome can have children, although it is less common than for people without the condition. Women with Down syndrome have a higher risk of certain health problems during pregnancy, such as preeclampsia and gestational diabetes, and their children are at an increased risk of birth defects. Men with Down syndrome are also able to have children, although they may have lower fertility than men without the condition.
