What is the legal age to drop out of high school in Washington state?

There is no legal age to drop out of high school in Washington state. However, students must be 16 years of age or older and have completed the 10th grade in order to withdraw from school without parental consent. Students who are 16 or 17 years old and have not completed the 10th grade may only withdraw from school with parental consent and the approval of the school district.
