Dress and appearance shall be clean and neat, and appropriate for a school setting. Students shall wear clothing that covers the midriff and has a hemline no shorter than mid-thigh. Tank tops, spaghetti straps, off-the-shoulder tops, and strapless tops are not allowed. Shorts, skirts, and dresses must be mid-thigh or longer. Leggings and tights may be worn under skirts and dresses, but they must be opaque. Clothing with holes or tears is not allowed. Students may wear hats and head coverings, but not inside the building.
Students shall wear proper undergarments. Undergarments must be completely covered by clothing.
The following footwear is not allowed: Flip-flops, open-toe shoes, and shoes with wheels.
Students shall not wear any clothing or accessories that are sexually suggestive, obscene, or offensive, or that promote any illegal activity or any type of discrimination. This includes, but is not limited to, clothing or accessories that depict violence, drugs, alcohol, or tobacco, or that contain profanity or obscene language.
Students may wear jewelry, but it must be worn safely and appropriately. Jewelry may not be worn in a way that poses a safety hazard to the wearer or others, and it must not be used as a weapon.
Students may wear makeup, but it must be applied conservatively and in a manner that is appropriate for school. Excessive or distracting makeup is not allowed.
The administration may make exceptions to these dress code rules on a case-by-case basis for religious or medical reasons.
