If you move to another school district can keep kids in current because it is a better school?

Generally, no. School districts are geographically defined. You must attend the public school assigned to your residential address. If you move to a different school district, your children will need to attend school within that new district. The fact that their current school is considered "better" doesn't override residency requirements.

There are exceptions, such as:

* Open enrollment programs: Some districts allow students from outside the district to attend, but this is often limited, competitive, and may require tuition or transportation costs.

* Private schools: You can always choose to send your children to a private school, regardless of where you live, but this requires tuition.

* Charter schools: Charter schools often have their own admission processes and may or may not be location-based. They might have a lottery system.

* Home schooling: This is another option, removing the reliance on any particular school district.

In short, moving to a different district necessitates your children attending schools within that new district unless you pursue one of the exceptions listed above.
