Townsend Harris High School is extremely difficult to get into. It's a highly selective public school in Queens, New York, with a rigorous academic program. Admission is based on a highly competitive application process that includes a demanding entrance exam, strong academic record, and teacher recommendations. The acceptance rate is very low, making it one of the most challenging high schools to gain admission to in New York City, and arguably the nation.
