What is grade levels?

Grade levels are a system used in educational institutions to categorize students based on their age and academic progress. They typically represent a year of schooling, progressing sequentially from kindergarten or pre-school through high school (or the equivalent). The specific number of grades and the curriculum covered in each grade vary by country and sometimes even within a country. For example, some systems use grades 1-12, while others might use a different numbering system or have different structures for primary, secondary, and tertiary education. Essentially, they're a way to standardize and track a student's progress through the educational system.
