When will high school of the dead season 2 come out?

There is no official announcement or confirmation of a Highschool of the Dead season 2. The production of the anime was beset by problems, including the death of the creator, and there's been no continuation of the series. While fan hopes remain, it's highly unlikely a second season will ever be released.
