One foggy winter morning, as i was hurrying to work, I had a narrow escape that sent chills down my spine.Walking briskly along a usually quiet street. As i approached a crosswalk, i noticed an enormous truck speeding toward me. Time seemed to slow down a I realized the danger I was in. Adrenaline surged through my body, and I mustered all my strength to leap backward just as the front bumper of the truck whooshed past where I had been standing a mere second before. My heart pounded as i gazed at the truck vanishing into the mist, grateful for my quick reaction that had saved my life.From that hair raising moment, I vowed to be more vigilant and never again take my safety for granted.
