When did Henry ford write the quote whether you think can or cant- are right?

The quote "Whether you think you can or think you can't--you're right" is often misattributed to Henry Ford, but it was actually an observation made by Henry Ford's friend, William James, in his 1879 book The Principles of Psychology.
