Math Fluency Games

When students have math fluency, they are able to solve word problems and multiple-step problems with more speed and confidence because they know their math facts. Students can learn their math facts with traditional flash cards or play interactive games that will help them increase their math fluency while having fun.
  1. Varied Levels

    • Lickity Split Learning.com has a math fluency game that can be used for addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. The game allows the player to choose which area of math he wants to practice and the ability level; quickly the game is played. The object of the game is for the player to click on the bubble that has the correct answer as quickly as possible.

    Mixed Practice

    • "MH School" also has a math fluency game that players can choose to practice any of the four main areas of math. There is also the option of choosing to practice addition and subtraction mixed together or multiplication and division. Students can set the timer on the game to see how many problems they can answer in a set amount of time, or choose not to be timed at all. Students are shown flash cards and must type in the correct answer.

    Animated Video Games

    • "Arademic Games" has high-interest animated math fluency activities for addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. There are other areas of math as well. The games have the appearance of a video game and can be played with one to eight players depending on the game. Some of the games have space, race car, sailboat and horse race themes. There's also a link at the website so that the games can be played on Wii.

    Multiple Operations Fluency Practice
