Stencil the name of your butterfly project on construction paper, using alphabet stencils. Cut out the letters.
Stencil the name of your butterfly project in the center of your backboard using a pencil, so you can erase as necessary to get the placement of the letters just right. Glue your cutout letters to the corresponding letter on the backboard.
Cut out three 12-inch-square pieces of construction paper. Then glue them to the left side of your presentation board -- an equal distance apart, stacked vertically. You'll have one at the top, middle and bottom of the left side.
Repeat Step 3 for the right side of the presentation board.
Type some interesting information about a particular breed of butterfly in dark, bold and large letters. This information should fit on a standard letter-size sheet of printer paper, with the portrait orientation in the page setup. Print the page.
Repeat Step 5 with five additional sheets of letter-size paper, each presenting other facts about a specific type of butterfly.
Glue each of the six sheets of paper to a construction paper square on your backboard -- positioning the printed sheet toward one side of the square, so the colored paper shows along the other side of the sheet, whichever side you prefer.
Print out large pictures of six different butterflies you've described on the printed sheets. Cut out the butterflies, and glue them next to the correct printed sheet, on the part of the construction paper tile that still shows. Place them either in the top corner of the construction paper tile or centered in the visible colored space.
Showcase the most important butterfly to your science project on the center of the backboard. Print out an extra-large image of the butterfly, and glue it to the center of the board. Cut out and glue additional construction paper tiles around the butterfly -- one for each key fact you want to present. Type in the information you want to present -- each key fact on a different page -- such as what climate it lives in, how many different species there are or how they grow from birth to adulthood.
Print out the facts about your main butterfly. Glue the printed sheets of information to the construction board tiles, arranging the facts however you like. If you're only presenting life cycle information about this butterfly, arrange the info sheets in chronological order -- clockwise around the image.
