Think of it as a bridge between regular coursework and the demands of AP classes. Pre-AP classes often:
* Introduce AP-level concepts and skills: Students are exposed to the types of thinking and writing expected in AP courses.
* Develop strong foundational knowledge: They build a solid base in the subject matter that will be beneficial in future AP courses.
* Enhance study skills and time management: Pre-AP classes often require more independent work and responsibility, helping students develop essential study habits.
* Promote deeper understanding: The curriculum goes beyond surface-level knowledge and encourages deeper engagement with the material.
However, Pre-AP classes are *not* the same as AP courses. Students in Pre-AP classes do not take an AP exam at the end of the year. The goal is preparation, not college credit.
