How do you use APA format in word?

To format a paper in APA style in Microsoft Word, follow these steps:

1. Open the Microsoft Word document that you want to format in APA style.

2. Click on the "References" tab in the top ribbon of Word.

3. In the "Citations & Bibliography" group, click on the "Style" drop-down menu.

4. From the list of styles, select "American Psychological Association."

5. Your document will now be formatted according to APA style.

Here are some additional tips for formatting your paper in APA style:

* Use a 12-point Times New Roman font throughout the document.

* Double-space all text, including the references section.

* Create a hanging indent of 0.5 inches for all paragraphs except the first paragraph of each section.

* Use in-text citations to give credit to the sources you use in your paper. In-text citations should include the author's last name and the year of publication of the source. For example, (Smith, 2020).

* Create a References section at the end of your paper, starting on a new page. The References section should include all of the sources you used in your paper, listed in alphabetical order by author's last name.

* Use the following format for your references:

Author's last name, First initial. (Publication year). Title of book. City of publication: Publisher.

Author's last name, First initial. (Publication year). Title of article. Journal title, volume number(issue number), page numbers.
