Carry your dictionary with you wherever you go. Start chatting to locals in cafes, bars or in parks. Make friends with people who speak English as a first language to learn the correct pronunciation.
Make a note of words you do not understand in your notebook.
Ask your companion to speak slower and explain what the word you did not understand means. Ask your chat partner to spell out words that you did not understand so you can write those words down in your notebook.
Speak without worrying about your pronunciation or about not knowing every word. Try not to let yourself down when you do not remember a word and try to speak freely. Studying English through chatting will help you learn a lot quicker than you think, and next time you will remember all the words you need.
Learn the words you did not understand at the end of the day in your room when you are alone, so you can concentrate solely on learning the words.
Listen to radio and TV conversations and try to pick up the words you did not understand during the chat with your chat partner.
