Write a paragraph about what you might do with pencil?

With a pencil, I could sketch a quick portrait of a friend, capturing the subtle curve of their smile or the crinkle around their eyes. I might jot down a to-do list, meticulously checking off each item as it's completed, or scribble notes during a lecture, hoping to decipher my own shorthand later. Perhaps I'd use it to shade a detailed drawing of a fantastical creature, building depth and form with layers of graphite. Or, more simply, I might use it to play a quick game of tic-tac-toe on a scrap of paper, the satisfying scratch of lead against the page a small comfort. The possibilities are as limitless as the graphite itself.
