Buckets are featured on all types of loaders. The buckets can be lifted through the use of hydraulics, and they scoop up dirt, gravel or other materials to be transported elsewhere. In skid steer loaders, the right wheels are controlled independently of the left wheels, and all wheels turn at the same rate. Wheels on an all-wheel steer loader can turn at different rates, allowing for increased traction.
Bobcat, Gehl and Mustang are among the all-wheel steer loader manufacturers. Bobcat offers a number of all-wheel steer loaders, including the A300. Two of the all-wheel steer loaders manufactured by Gehl are the AWS36 and the AWS46. Mustang manufactures the ML360 and ML460 all-wheel steer loaders.
The tipping load (amount of weight a loader can lift before tipping over) for Bobcat's A300 is 6,111 pounds. The tipping loads for Gehl's AWS36 and Mustang's ML360 are both 7,054 pounds. The A300 produces 81 horsepower, the AWS36 produces 60 horsepower, and the ML360 produces 66 horsepower.
