J.I. Case's 1070 is a two-wheel drive agricultural tractor. This particular model of tractor was manufactured between 1970-1978 in Racine, Wisconsin. During the years of production, 7,561 Case 1070 tractors were manufactured. During the final year of production, the 1978 Case 1070 agricultural tractor was available for $22,600. This model is an upgrade from the Case 970 model tractor. The next model produced by Case after the 1070 was the Case 2090 agricultural tractor.

The twelve-speed tractors tested at 100.21 and 108.1-horsepower. These tractors burned fuel at a rate of 6.4 and 7.2 gallons per hour. They offered a 82.12 and 90.99-horsepower draw bar.

    Tires, Brakes & Fuel

    • The Case 1070 tractor was fitted with 10 x 16-inch front agricultural tires and 18.4 x 34-inch rear agricultural tires. The operating weight offered by this model of tractor is 10,310 pounds. This tractor employs differential hydraulic dry disc brakes. The fuel tank designed for the Case 1070 can hold a total of 50 gallons worth of diesel fuel. The hydraulic system can pump hydraulic fluids throughout the system at a rate of 16 gallons per minute.
