Convert each test grade into a percentage. For example, if the student got 25 out of 30 on the first test, the percentage grade would be 25 divided by 30, or 83.3 percent.
Add all of the percentages from test grades together to come up with a total number.
Divide the total percentage number by the total number of tests to come up with their final grade as a percentage. Use this method if all of the tests have an equal net value.
Add up all of the points the student received on tests throughout the semester.
Calculate all of the maximum number of points that could have been earned on each test.
Divide the number of points earned by the maximum possible number of points to come up with the grade as a percentage.
