What does experience keeps a dear school but fools will learn in no other?

This is a proverb. It means that experience is the best teacher, but only those who are willing to learn from their mistakes (and are not foolish enough to repeat them) will truly benefit from it. Fools, on the other hand, will not learn from experience and will continue to make the same mistakes.
