Learn the colors in French by creating 10 different pieces of paper of 10 different colors. On an additional 10 pieces of paper, write the names of each color in French. For this activity, show students the colored pieces and let them choose the correct written piece for each color. When done, give the students the written pieces and tell them to match them with the colored pieces. In the end, test students by holding up each colored piece and having them say what color it is in French without help from the text cues.

Telling time in French is like a math equation; for example 1:45 in the afternoon is 2 o'clock minus 15 minutes. Have students explain what they are planning on doing at certain times of the day. It is possible to use the vocabulary of previous exercises, such as "I put on my green shirt at 8:15 am." Although all of the words may not be known, recognizing a majority of the words will help students complete full sentences.
