1. Enroll in a High School Equivalency Test (HiSET) or General Education Development (GED) Test preparation program for free at a California Adult School
2. Complete pre-test
3. Complete pre-assessment
4. Take full length official hiSET or GED practice test
5. Complete preparation program if needed
6. Register and pay for the tests - $133 per test in Calif with 3 retakes within a yr of first test date at $22 fee.
7. Take first HiSET test
8. Within a year retake any additional tests needed with $22 retake fee (max of 3 tests)
