What was life like for Jeff Kinney growing up?

Jeff Kinney was born on February 19, 1971, in Fort Washington, Maryland. He grew up in the suburbs of Washington, D.C., with his parents and two younger brothers. Jeff's father was a civil engineer, and his mother was a teacher. Jeff was a bit of a loner as a child and spent a lot of time drawing and making up stories.
