Why do teenagers spent more time with their friends?

Teenagers spend more time with their friends than with their families for a number of reasons. These reasons include:

1. Friends are a source of support. Friends can provide emotional support, advice, and understanding that teens may not feel comfortable seeking from their parents or other family members.

2. Friends are a source of validation. Friends can help teens feel accepted and appreciated for who they are. They can also provide a sense of belonging and identity.

3. Friends are a source of fun. Spending time with friends is often enjoyable and relaxing. Friends can provide an outlet for teens to express themselves and let loose.

4. Friends are a way to learn about social norms. Spending time with friends helps teens learn how to interact with others and how to navigate social situations.

5. Friends are a way to develop independence. Spending time with friends helps teens develop a sense of independence and self-sufficiency. They learn how to make their own decisions and how to take responsibility for their own actions.

While it is important for teenagers to spend time with their families, it is also important for them to spend time with their friends. Doing so helps them to develop into healthy and well-rounded individuals.
