How many years of college do you have to take be a storm chaser?
There's no specific college degree required to be a storm chaser. Many storm chasers have backgrounds in meteorology, but it's not mandatory. While a degree in meteorology (which usually takes four years) would give you a strong foundation in the science behind storms, experience, specialized training, and the right equipment are arguably more important than a specific degree. Many successful storm chasers are self-taught or have learned through on-the-job experience.
