Utilize the NCC Education Student Services Department. Consult with a staff person if you are having difficulty with the business communication module. The department offers a variety of academic support services such as counseling and tutoring services.
Take a practice exam. Taking practice exams helps build your test-taking confidence. It also helps you identify the topics in which you need help.
Gather your lecture notes and business communication course materials. Review and study these materials a few hours each day. Begin studying at least a week before the exam.
Read over the exam. Answer the easy questions first. Answering those questions first builds your confidence. It also provides more time for answering the harder questions.
Write brief plans for your answers if possible. Jot the plans down in the exam booklet. You may get credit for the plan even if you do not finish writing your answer.
Make sure you answer the specific question. For example, if the question references a case study, include the case study in your answer. Keep your answers focused and concise.
Pay attention to the time allotted for each question. Make sure you do not spend too much time on one answer. If you are having trouble answering the question, move on to another question.
Double check your answers if you finish early. Check your grammar, punctuation and the accuracy of your answers. Correct any mistakes.
