What Does Wyotech Stand for?

WyoTech stands for "Wyoming Technical Institute." Wyoming Technical Institute is a technical college specializing in design, maintenance and repair of road and marine vehicles. Although originally based in Laramie, Wyoming, WyoTech now has satellite campuses in several states.
  1. History

    • Wyoming Technical Institute started in 1966 in a single building in Laramie, Wyoming. The school has grown steadily over the last 44 years, and operates six campuses in four states as of October, 2010.

    Locations

    • As at October, 2010, WyoTech has campuses in the following locations: Laramie, Wyoming; Blairsville, Pennsylvania; and Daytona, Florida. Three campus locations in California also offer Wyotech Programs--Fremont, Long Beach and Sacramento.

    Classes

    • WyoTech's classes aim to prepare students for careers in automotive, marine, motorcycle, collision repair, electrician and plumbing fields. Courses at WyoTech are relatively short, with most students finishing a qualification in 16 months or less.
