Applicants must have a bachelor's degree. Someone applying to the one-year Master of Business Administration or accelerated part-time master's program must have a bachelor's in business, economics or industrial engineering. The full and part-time master's of science in business economics programs require applicants complete the following coursework: macroeconomics, microeconomics, statistics and calculus or business math, and financial accounting. Other master's programs require no specific field of study or coursework.
Before applying, an applicant will need to have at least two years of professional work experience. In addition, he will need to take the GMAT standardized test; a student applying to the full-time master's of science in business economics program can take either the GMAT or GRE.
An applicant will need to complete an application for admission and submit her official transcripts from each university or college attended, two letters of recommendation, a resume indicating their work experience, one personal essay and official GMAT or GRE scores.
Current business executives who are applying to the Master of Business Administration for Executives program will be required to submit three, instead of two, letters of recommendation. An applicant must also submit to an interview by a USF admissions representative, and have his employer complete the "Employer Statement of Participation." Master of Business Administration Executive applicants will not have to take or submit official GRE or GMAT test scores. A student applying to the Joint Master of Global Economic Management program will need to submit a copy of her passport and passport photo since studying abroad is an integral part of this program.
