• The University of Georgia at Athens (UGA) offers a wide variety of distance learning courses and programs. More than 120 individual courses are taught online by UGA professors, and students are awarded the same amount of credits as face-to-face classes. In addition, several degree and certificate programs at UGA are operated solely online. Degrees include the nontraditional doctor of pharmacy pathway program, an online master of business administration and an online master of education degree. Certificates include marketing research, healthcare management, pharmacokinetics and governmental accounting.

Georgia Perimeter College

• Georgia Perimeter College's (GPC) distance learning program consists of online classes using an online interface program called WebCT. WebCT creates a virtual classroom environment, where students can log in at their leisure and find class notes, videos and everything else they need. GPC does not operate any full degree programs online, but only offers individual courses.

Savannah Technical College

• Savannah Technical College (STC) offers instruction in several fields, including business and technology, economic development, general studies, health sciences and industrial and public service. Students at STC study for professional certificates, associate's degrees and diploma programs. Courses are offered both face-to-face and online. Armstrong Atlantic State University

• Distance learning at Armstrong Atlantic State University takes a couple of different forms. In addition to the main campus in Savannah, two satellite campuses exist: Liberty Center in Hinesville and Brunswick Center in Brunswick. Online classes are also available, using the Georgia University system's Pirates' VIEW Vista system. This system does its best to mimic the in-class environment, giving students the opportunity to access their classes whenever they wish while offering a structured, deadline-centered system of learning. Lecture notes, videos, and chat rooms are all an integral part of the system, as well as automatically-graded exams.
