The IgG index is a numerical valuation of the IgG levels in the CSF, or cerebrospinal fluid. IgG stands for immunoglobulin G. Immunoglobulin G molecules are antibodies that are used in the body for the secondary immune response by binding to pathogens and neutralizing them. The value of the IgG index can be an indicator of central nervous system diseases such as multiple sclerosis, panencephalitis, polyradiculoneuropathy and neurosyphilis.

Divide the CSF IgG number by the CSF Albumin number.
-
-
3
Divide the Serum IgG number by the Serum Albumin number.
-
