Will you need to go college or university be a vet?

In order to become a licensed veterinarian, attending college or university is a necessity; in most countries, a professional veterinary degree is mandatory for veterinary practice. The level of education required can vary between different countries and jurisdictions, however generally a vet needs at least a bachelor's degree, followed by several years of specialized veterinary training or further education, typically achieved through a postgraduate veterinary degree and clinical experience. This can typically amount to around 7-9 years of post-secondary education in total.
