Within majors, students are required to take courses that focus on other cultures in their designated field. For example, in a journalism degree you may take a class such as "Cultures in the Media" that shows the different ways publications must avoid stereotypes. In education, you may take classes that show the difference between teaching in urban and suburban settings. Culinary courses may focus on one particular culture's food.
