Read the sentence to yourself aloud to understand what you've written in the sentence. Listen to the words to clarify what portion of the sentence is incorrect.
Write the sentence on a clean sheet of paper with a pencil, then edit the sentence. Replace transitional words such as "then," with effective words, such as "moreover" or "meanwhile." Remove vague words, such as "great," and replace with descriptive words, such as "large" or "enjoyable."
Delete redundant words in the sentence, such as "revert back" to create a coherent sentence. Use a thesaurus to select words that are effective and give the sentence clear meaning. Once you make the edits, re-write the corrected sentence below the edited sentence.
Read the sentence aloud again to ensure the sentence is sound. Erase the old sentence in the document and replace the sentence with the corrected text. Read the paragraph containing the edited sentence aloud to make certain the sentence flows properly with the rest of the text.
