1. Inform your teacher immediately. Let your teacher know that you have lost the textbook and ask for their guidance on how to proceed. Your teacher may have a spare copy of the book, or they may be able to help you find a replacement.
2. Check with your school librarian. The school librarian may have a copy of the textbook available, or they may be able to help you find a used or electronic copy online. Please note you are responsible for the replacement cost of lost texts.
3. Search for the textbook yourself. Look in your backpack, at home, and other places where you might have left it. Ask your friends and classmates if they have seen it. Put out a school-wide announcement.
4. Purchase a replacement textbook. If you are unable to find the original textbook, you may need to purchase a replacement. Be sure to purchase the correct edition of the book, and get a receipt so you can be reimbursed.
5. Return the textbook to your teacher or the school. Once you have found or purchased a replacement textbook, return the original textbook to your teacher or the school.
