* Literature: Frans Eemil Sillanpää (Finland) "for his profound and sensitive depiction of life in rural Finland."
* Peace: Karl Hjalmar Branting (Sweden) and Christian Lous Lange (Norway) "for their work in the cause of international cooperation through the League of Nations."
