The Nobel Peace Prize medal has a profile of Alfred Nobel, the creator of the prize. It also features the words ‘Alfred Nobel’ surrounded by a laurel wreath and the dates 1895 and 1896, referring to the year of Nobel's death and the year Nobel's will came into effect.
