* Bernardo del Carpio: Bernardo del Carpio (c. 800 – 853) is a legendary Spanish knight and hero, who plays an important role in Castilian epic. He is the son of the legendary Countess Sancha Díaz, daughter of Count Don Diego Rodríguez Porcelos, and Don Sancho Díaz, Count of Saldaña.
* Pelayo: Pelayo (Latin: Pelagius; c. 690 – 737) was the first king of Asturias, a kingdom in northern Spain. Pelayo is credited with leading a victory against the forces of the Umayyad Caliphate at the Battle of Covadonga in 722, traditionally seen as the beginning of the Christian Reconquista of the Iberian Peninsula. He was the first Asturian monarch and is traditionally considered the first King of Spain.
* Jimena Díaz de Vivar: Jimena Díaz de Vivar (c. 1046–1116) was the wife of El Cid, the famous Castilian nobleman, military leader and diplomat. She was a noblewoman in her own right, being the daughter of the Asturian nobleman Diego Fernández, Count of Oviedo, and his wife Cristina Fernández.
* Doña Urraca: Doña Urraca (c. 1081 – 8 March 1126), also known as Urraca I of León and Castile, was Queen regnant of León, Galicia and Castile from 1109 to 1126. She was the third daughter of King Alfonso VI of León and Castile and his first wife, Constance of Burgundy.
