Who wrote Moriae Encomium?

The Moriae Encomium (Praise of Folly) was written by Desiderius Erasmus of Rotterdam, a Dutch Renaissance humanist and theologian.

It was originally published in 1509 and quickly became a bestseller, translated into multiple languages.
