William Blackstone is best known for writing
Commentaries on the Laws of England. This multi-volume work, published between 1765 and 1769, became a foundational text for the study of English common law and had a profound impact on the development of legal systems around the world, including the United States.
While it's his most famous work, Blackstone also wrote other pieces, including:
