What has the author R W Moncrieff written?

R. W. Moncrieff was a British translator, primarily known for his translations of Marcel Proust's *Remembrance of Things Past*.

He translated all seven volumes of Proust's masterpiece, starting in 1922 with *Swann's Way*. His translations are still widely considered to be the definitive English versions.

While he did some other translations, including works by Balzac, Flaubert, and Stendhal, his primary legacy remains his work on Proust.
