William Daniel "Bill" Gertsmann (March 12, 1933 – October 23, 1994) was an American neurologist, neuroanatomist, and psychiatrist, regarded as one of the most important figures in the development of neurology and neuropsychiatry as sub-disciplines of medicine in the United States. He was the chair of the Department of Neurology at Columbia University from 1970 to 1993.
