How do I add two authors in MLA?

When citing a source with two authors, the MLA style guide recommends the following format:

Last name, First name, and Last name, First name. Title of Source. Publication Information

For example:

Smith, John, and James Doe. The Art of Writing. New York: Simon and Schuster, 2023.

If the authors are both in the same source, list the last name and first name of the first author, then the word "and," then the last name and first name of the second author.

If there are more than two authors, use the following format:

Last name, First name et al. Title of Source. Publication Information.

For example:
